Prior to Walden Businesses, Richard’s career consisted of serving as an audit manager with Arthur Young & Co., several years in progressive financial roles from the Controller of a start-up company which owned and managed hospitals, to CFO with publically traded corporations in manufacturing, healthcare and medical equipment distribution. Richard then started his entrepreneurial career by co-founding and operating a sub acute care services company and successfully raised $4.2 million in capital. Subsequently, Richard co-founded and operated companies in the high-end single family residential construction and remodeling industries.

Richard’s corporate experience encompasses negotiating and closing credit facilities, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation, investor relations, private placements and public offerings as well as being a key presenter at investor conferences nationally and internationally.  In addition, he has the proven ability to thrive within corporate and entrepreneurial environments developing and implementing new systems and structure to support expansion.

Richard graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a degree in Business Administration and received his CPA in Georgia.  He also served in the United States military, and lived in England, North Africa and Japan while growing up.
