Dean McDonald brings many years of accounting and marketing experience to Walden Businesses. He began his professional career in 1994 after graduating in 1991 from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and minor in Accounting.

In 1997 Dean co-founded an insurance agency in Orlando, FL and expanded to four locations. In 2001, to be closer to family, he sold the company and moved to Atlanta, GA.  In Atlanta, he co-founded a commercial cleaning company with a partner. In 2005, Dean sold his ownership in the cleaning company and began his career as a business intermediary.

Dean achieved the coveted Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) in 2005 - a designation awarded to individuals who have completed extensive, specialized education as a business intermediary and who adhere to the ethical standards of the International Business Brokers Association. Locally, Dean is a member of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce; an officer (Vice President) of the Corporate Exchange Alliance networking group; and member and incoming membership chair of the Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club. Dean is very involved with his church, Westridge Church in Dallas, GA, helping with community projects, and special events.

Dean’s background as a partner in an Atlanta-based business has provided him with a thorough understanding of the complexities of business ownership, which further enables him to service his Walden clients.

Dean became a Real Estate Broker in 2009, and is currently licensed in Georgia as an an associate broker. He specializes in specific service companies, wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing.
